2. Applicable law
This data protection information covers data processing in accordance with the provisions of the currently valid version of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the currently valid Swiss Data Protection Act (DSG), which came into force on 10.9.2023, together with the associated Data Protection Ordinance (DSV).
The DPA applies to data protection issues that have an impact in Switzerland, even if they are initiated abroad. The GDPR essentially applies to the processing of personal data of data subjects located in the Union by a controller not established in the Union.
The term data processing (in accordance with the DPA) is used below as a synonym for the term data processing in accordance with the GDPR.
In principle, data processing at PXL Vision is carried out in accordance with the principles of the GDPR, unless otherwise specified. Accordingly, processing in accordance with Art. 6 GDPR is carried out on the basis of corresponding authorisation standards, which also ensures permissible data processing in accordance with the principles stated in Art. 6 FADP.
3. Data collected and data categories and purpose of processing
a. Data collection and storage when visiting the website
When you visit our website, we collect and process personal data provided by technical means, such as log data and metadata, as well as data generated by cookies if you have given your consent.
We process this data for the purpose of providing our service (Art. 31 FADP, Art. 6 para. 1 b) GDPR).
Of this metadata, the following data is logged and stored (log file) The requested website URL and the URL of the website from which the file was requested, the cookies saved by the visitor for the domain accessed, the status of the access (file transferred, file not found, etc.), the date and time of the access, the amount of data transferred as part of the connection, the type and version of the browser used, the language used and your IP address. We log this data to identify and rectify technical faults and to improve the quality of our services (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). For these purposes, your IP address is truncated by the last octet. If there are concrete indications, including for the purposes of detecting and preventing misuse and fraud, the data of the website visit may be processed (Art. 6 para. 1 f GDPR). For this purpose, data from log files of various systems may be merged and aggregated. Evaluations may also be carried out with other customer data.
Log files are generally stored in accordance with the fulfillment of the specific purpose and deleted if they are no longer required to achieve the purpose. In particular in the event of a violation of legal interests or in a corresponding suspected case, the log files concerned may be retained in individual cases until clarification and, if necessary, for further prosecution (e.g. in the case of criminal offenses such as fraud). This applies accordingly to errors and malfunctions until they have been rectified.
b. Data collection when making contact or interacting on the website
We may also collect and process other personal data if this is necessary for the specific process initiated by the user. For example, in the case of contact requests or chats, the names and addresses of the users may be required; when contacting us by e-mail, the corresponding data in the e-mail and data related to the transmission and processing of the e-mail may be processed.
PXL Vision uses the services of google as an e-mail provider, so that users must take into account when contacting us by e-mail, but also when using other social networks, that the data associated with the e-mail or contact options via social networks may be processed on servers outside the European Economic Area. If, for example, you contact us by email, social media or other means, the confidentiality of the communication cannot be guaranteed when using these contact options, as it cannot be ruled out that the providers of these contact options (possibly on the basis of the terms of use concluded with you) have access to the content of the communication. The confidentiality of the communication may also depend on the privacy settings you have made with these providers.

c. Marketing emails (e.g. newsletter)
You will receive a newsletter if you register for a corresponding service on our website (Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 b) GDPR). The data you provide will only be processed to provide the newsletter. To unsubscribe from the newsletter, simply click on the unsubscribe link in any email from us, which is included in each of our newsletters. You will then not receive any further newsletters from us from the newsletter service you have booked.
d. Personalised videos, images and banners
You may see a video, image or banner on our website based on your technical data or cookies that you have allowed. We do not use sensitive customer data for this (e.g. only the industry or country which we were able to identify via an analysis service provider (Leadfeeder (see below)).
