THE CASE Digital onboarding for credit cards and auto financing
As customer expectations for seamless digital experiences continued to rise, Cembra made digitalisation a strategic priority — embedding identity verification directly into its online application processes to deliver a fast, paperless customer journey from day one.
What made Cembra's project particularly ambitious was the breadth of the challenge: two structurally different business processes needed to be covered by a single solution. In the credit card channel, identification is fully embedded in a self-service online journey completed by the end customer. In the auto financing channel, dealers capture customer data through the e-Connect portal and trigger identification as a separate step — a fundamentally different flow with its own requirements, validations, and rules.
Rather than build and maintain two separate systems, Cembra set out to find one flexible platform capable of serving both models equally well.

One platform, two processes
Cembra selected PXL Ident as the identity verification backbone for both business lines. The deciding factor was clear: a single platform able to serve two structurally different processes, each with its own configuration of restrictions, requirements, and validations.
