PXL Vision makes identification solutions ready for the Swiss e-ID

A pioneer in hybrid identification models, combining Swiss e-ID and physical identity documents

Zurich, May 12th 2026 - PXL Vision, a leading Swiss provider of digital identification and signature solutions with high conversion rates, has prepared its platform for the upcoming Swiss e-ID. By integrating the Swiss e-ID, companies will soon be able to verify their customers' identities using either the state-issued electronic identity or existing identification methods. Companies can already test the integration in a test environment themselves and gain an impression of the user flow.

While the market prepares for the introduction of the federal electronic identity, PXL Vision is creating a flexible foundation for hybrid digital identification processes.

This means that companies do not have to align their onboarding and verification processes with a single model, but can offer both options in parallel, depending on the customer group and use case. Customer companies now also have access to a test environment in which they can independently try out the integration and familiarise themselves with the user flow.

“The e-ID will become an important component of identity verification in Switzerland, but it will not replace all existing identification methods,” says Michael Born, CEO of PXL Vision. "Companies will continue to need hybrid models in the future, as not all users will have or use an e-ID. This is exactly where we provide the right technological foundation. At the same time, the e-ID will significantly accelerate One-Shot Signature solutions and lead to a noticeable shift away from repetitive processes towards one-time, seamless identification and signature flows."

PXL Vision has integrated the Swiss e-ID, created an interface to the swiyu app and provided a generic verifier service. This enables the direct connection and verification of various digital wallets, including data retrieval. Consequently, the future integration of additional wallet solutions, such as the EUDI Wallet, can be achieved flexibly.

PXL Vision’s solutions help companies to automatically, securely and legally verify identities, for example when opening accounts, concluding contracts or completing digital registration processes. Following the integration of the compliance-ready function for qualified electronic signatures (QES) last year, the company is now expanding its offering with another important option in time for the introduction of the e-ID, thereby strengthening the flexibility of its platform even further.
